WHAT DOES IT MEAN to be “over the hill”? In today’s parlance, you’re 40 years old or older. This is the time in your life when you begin to notice changes in your body. You’re definitely not old, but something tells you that you’re no longer young.

MOST CHILDREN STOP being “and-a- half” somewhere around age 12. Kids add “and-a-half” to make sure everyone knows they’re closer to the next age than the last.When you are older, “and-a-half” birthdays start making a comeback.

A WALK IN THE PARK - If winter comes

WHEN THIS ISSUE was coming off the press, Shirley and I were at Fort Pickens Campground in Gulf Islands National Seashore. That’s a couple long bridges from Pensacola, FL. We made reservations for Ft. Pickens on July 5 because, since COVID, they are required at national parks far ahead of time.
