by LeMoyne Mercer ONE OF OUR FAVORITE TRIPS for fall color is two weeks or so through three national parks—Shenandoah, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Great Smoky Mountains. It is about 500 miles to Front Royal, VA and the beginning of 105-mile Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park.
