THE LUCAS SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT (Lucas SWCD) will offer its first-ever fall native plant sale September 8 through 10, at its office, 3350 Hill Avenue, Suite K, Toledo.
The sale will feature 12 different species of locally-grown native plants.
Fall is a great time to plant due to cooler temperatures and more rainfall. Plants are limited and may sell out. Plant inventory will be updated daily on the website and Facebook page: lucasswcd.org/fall native plant sale.
Prices per plant vary, depending on size but will range between $5 and $7 per plant.
In addition to potted plants, Lucas SWCD will have native seed mixes and other items available for sale as well.
Sale days and hours are: Tuesday, September 8, from 1 to 6 p.m.; Wednesday, September 9, from 2 to 5 p.m., and Thursday, September 10, from 2 to 5 p.m. ✲
