Dance the Night Away for a Great Cause at Paint the Town: Rhythms on the River

AN UNFORGETTABLE EVENING OF LIVE MUSIC, COCKTAILS AND DANCING BENEFITS THOUSANDS LIVING WITH PARKINSON'S IN NORTHWEST OHIO.

Live music. Dancing under the stars. Signature cocktails. Exceptional food overlooking the Maumee River. That's what awaits guests at Paint the Town: Rhythms on the River, the Parkinson Foundation of Northwest Ohio's signature annual fundraiser.

The event takes place Friday, September 11, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Toledo Country Club, 3949 River Road, Toledo. Guests will enjoy an elevated cookout, Tito's Handmade Vodka signature cocktails, live entertainment by Detroit's award-winning Bluewater Kings Band, dancing beneath the evening sky and a silent auction featuring exclusive experience packages.

'Paint the Town is an evening where people come together to celebrate, connect and make a real difference,' said Stacey Dunbar, treasurer of the Parkinson Foundation of Northwest Ohio.

'Guests leave knowing they enjoyed a memorable evening while directly supporting local programs that improve the quality of life for thousands of people in our community.'

The celebration also addresses a growing local need.

More than 30,000 people in Northwest Ohio are living with Parkinson's disease, and experts believe the actual number is considerably higher because many cases remain undiagnosed. Every ticket purchased helps fund free exercise programs, education, support services and local research that directly benefit individuals and families throughout the region.

Proceeds support a variety of free programs, including: the Annual Parkinson's Symposium featuring nationally recognized Parkinson's experts; delay the disease exercise classes and BIG & LOUD classes; support groups for individuals living with Parkinson's disease and their care partners; educational outreach throughout Northwest Ohio and local Parkinson's research grants.

For more than 30 years, the Parkinson Foundation of Northwest Ohio has been improving the lives of people affected by the disease through free education, exercise, support services and local research. Unlike many national organizations, every dollar raised remains in Northwest Ohio, directly benefiting local families. The Parkinson Foundation of Northwest Ohio gratefully acknowledges the generous support of its community partners, including Tito's Handmade Vodka, Taylor Automotive Family, UT Health, Onapgo/Supernus Pharmaceuticals and Lyden Oil, whose sponsorships help make Paint the Town possible and support free local Parkinson's programs, services and research. Additional corporate and community sponsors also contribute to the event's success.
