Dear Readers, This summer has been one to remember but we hope that you continued to stayed informed on the latest health news, stayed safe and had a blast soaking in the summer sun. The smoke has cleared from the Canadian wildfires we experienced in July. On Thursday, July 16, 2026, according to The Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre, there were 857 fires actively burning in Canada and 23 new fires burning. The weather has offered some relief as we wrap up the August issue but please stay up to date on health news and weather reporting to stay informed, safe and healthy.
Among other news, the investigation to find the source of the cyclopsoriasis outbreak resumes. Health officials have yet to give confirmation on finding the original source of the parasite outbreak said to have contaminated lettuce and other produce.
