Mercy College of Ohio, in collaboration with Mercy Health, continues to create innovative initiatives to build the healthcare pipeline while revolutionizing the final-semester experience for Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) students.

THE ADVOCATES OFTHE LONGTERM- CARE-OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM work with residents of assisted-living and nursing facilities to resolve concerns that affect quality of life. Recently, a resident in a nursing home shared with an Ombudsman Advocate that they were uncomfortable eating in the dining room because another resident would video record and post on social media.

A NEW-TO-THE-REGION TREATMENT at The University of Toledo Medical Center can significantly improve the shakiness and movement problems experienced by patients with Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders.

THE NEW YEAR WILL SEE The Cocoon continue with advances it made in 2023 in providing support to the survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse—and their children. Those advances go beyond its base in Bowling Green, and it is hoped to stem the tide of such abuse in the future.

Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) has partnered with The University of Toledo Medical Center (UTMC) and The Toledo Clinic to open the Aurora Senior Health Clinic. Opening Thursday, November 16, the Aurora Senior Health Clinic, One Aurora Gonzalez Drive, will bring geriatric primary and specialty care under one roof.
