AT ST. CLARE COMMONS, we continue to commit our dedication in providing a vibrant and supportive environment for our seniors in Perrysburg, Ohio.
We are incredibly proud of the compassionate care and enriching experiences we offer in independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing. We are thrilled to announce two additions to our leadership team who will continue to provide a vibrant and supportive environment for seniors: Brandon Hemminger, LNHA, as our new Executive Director and David Huffaker, as our new Director of Nursing.
These two additions to our team mark an exciting new chapter for St. Clare Commons. We are confident that their combined expertise and passion for senior care will further strengthen our commitment to our residents’ well-being, satisfaction and quality of life.
Hemminger brings a remarkable track record of success and a deep understanding of comprehensive senior care. Most recently, he successfully led a 99-bed skilled nursing facility to achieve the prestigious CMS Five-Star status through strategic quality initiatives. He was recognized with the company’s 'President’s Award' as Care Community of the Year.
His extensive experience spans all facets of skilled nursing operations, from leadership and regulatory compliance to fostering resident well-being and satisfaction. Hemminger is committed to upholding our high standards of care and enhancing the lives of everyone in our community. Hemminger speaks to his goals as the Executive Director, “My goal is to make sure that our residents, and our community, are given the opportunity to live in a clean, safe environment that allows them to age with grace and dignity.”
“Our duty is to our residents and team members and we will always maintain our commitment to provide care to the community,” he added.
David Huffaker, as St. Clare Commons' new Director of Nursing, brings a remarkably diverse and well-rounded background in nursing to our community. His experience ranges from CNA/STNA and ER Patient Care Technician to Registered Nurse in a Level I Trauma Center Cardiac ICU, showcasing his broad clinical skills.
Huffaker served in leadership roles as an ICU Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of care management and team leadership. His philosophy in nursing, 'nursing is more than a profession—it is a calling. It is a privilege to be part of something greater than ourselves and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve,” Huffaker said.
Both Hemminger and Huffaker, together, will continue their professional journeys at St. Clare Commons to work alongside our dedicated team.
Their complementary skills and shared commitment to compassionate, high-quality care will undoubtedly inspire innovation and further enhance the exceptional services we provide across independent living, assisted living and skilled nursing.
Please join us in a warm welcome to the St. Clare Commons family, Brandon Hemminger and David Huffaker. We look forward to the incredible contributions and continued success they will provide to our beloved community. ✲
