Franciscan Care Center announces its upcoming celebration of National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW), May 10-16, kicking off this year's theme, “Moments in Bloom” on Mother’s Day. “Moments in Bloom” promises a heartwarming week dedicated to recognizing the deep impact of everyday care and connection. Throughout the week of May 10--16, Franciscan Care Center will host special events and activities. Check out page 19 for more information on the events and activities happening during NSNCW. With summer travel coming, Dennis Bova addresses on page 12, what is key to a successful trip is the meals and snacks, including what to eat and where to eat. This also includes packing and planning what activities to do on the trip.
Eating Well contributing writer Laurie Syring shows how eating Mexican food can be healthy. Tacos can come in many forms and are a common home-cooked meal or a favorite restaurant pick. To read more on the ways to find healthy Mexican meals that align with differing health goals, look on page six.
