HOMESCHOOLING–WHETHER YOU’RE CLASSICAL, Charlotte Mason, classical conversations, or something eclectic–this is the conference for you and your family on Saturday, July 18, at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2250 South Holland Sylvania Road.
The day starts at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast, followed by a painting seminar led by a local artist and a writing workshop with a local author. Lunch will be provided. The event will wrap up with a keynote, panel question and answer and a curriculum swap.
Area residents are invited to come meet other homeschoolers and glean some new ideas for building connection with their children.
Frequently Asked Questions Who’s it for? Homeschool families. The conference will have something for everyone, from enrichment events in the morning to a panel discussion in the afternoon, as well as ample outdoor space for littles.
What’s the cost? Totally free. Breakfast and lunch are included.
What’s the catch? That’s the fun part–there’s no catch.
Resurrection wants to be a blessing to the local homeschool community. Part of that includes offering conferences like this, as well as community seminars, enrichment workshops and eventually language classes in Latin, Greek and/or Hebrew.
As always, the pastor is available to teach Bible history classes or doctrine classes.
What should I bring? Those who have gently-used curriculum that they won’t need can bring it to the swap. Otherwise, bring yourself and family, and be ready for a day of homeschool encouragement.
Howdo I register? Visit the website, raisedwithjesus.com and complete the registration form. Pastor Pete Hagen, another local homeschooling dad, will be in touch in June to get a final commitment.
For more information, contact Rev. Hagen at 419-262-8280 or send an email to pastorhagen@icloud. com. ✲
