MAY IS NATIONAL NURSES MONTH, and what a great time to thank these amazing members of your care team! Nurses combine their medical knowledge, technical skills, and compassion to provide quality care to their patients. Nurses are in a very diverse position—they work in many settings and multiple roles.
Over the years, the environment of health care has changed dramatically. These changes have led to the diversity of nursing roles. Many of these roles now focus on prevention of diseases, education, and support, in addition to care in a medical setting.
Nurses are often referred to as “the heart of health care.” Take a moment to thank the nurses in your life!
