Healthy Livings News readers–jumping into 2026

Dear readers, It is a privilege to join you on this lifetime journey of healthy living. I hope you are blessed during this holiday season.

If I could share one thing I am passionate about when it comes to healthy living, it would be running. It is a great way to stay active and to push myself to be a healthy person. It reminds me every day that I can do hard things. I aim to empower individuals to make informed, and holistic health-related choices by engaging with and informing those who are passionate about health and wellness. Healthy Living News (HLN) magazine is a monthly publication that provides news on healthy living.

We have many dedicated contributors to HLN who provide great insight to the magazine.

Dennis Bova is a long- time journalist who reports on healthy living topics and shares community involvement. *Daniel J. Jachimiak offers readers health advice, and mindfulness practices. Craig Rummel, marketing manager for Dave’s Running, gives running advice and shares upcoming races. Next, Lori Davis, with Ombudsman, is passionate about advocating for vulnerable people living in nursing homes.

Laurie Syring writes the monthly column “Eating Well” to advise on healthy eating practices and ways food aids in health.

Sister Karen Zielinski writes the monthly column “Nobody’s Perfect,” sharing about societal issues. We can’t forget about Sister Mary Thill who wrote the monthly column, “Spiritually Speaking” for 27 years, and has written more than 300 articles for HLN. We wish her the best as she retires “Spiritually Speaking.”

There are many more businesses, and organizations that partner with HLN–CHI Living communities, The Toledo Clinic, Citizens Advisory Group and more. Thank you to everyone who reads and contributes to Healthy Living News magazine.

Healthy living today is a popular niche. Everyone is looking for a new recipe, advice on taking care of elders, different ways to stay active, or upcoming news on community events.

The chart, from the NIH website, shows how each generation views health and how much the media has shifted communication about health-related news and information. I aim to know more about the HLN audience, to gauge age demographics to see who reads HLN and how to share healthy living news in a technologically- advanced world.

This way, I have an informed consensus of who the HLN community is and can consider ways to better engage with that community.

To do so, I would love to hear your feedback. I have created a QR code to be able to access a survey. The QR code can be scanned utilizing a smartphone camera by clicking on the five–minute survey link that pops up.

Consider how much you engage with Healthy Living News. What content would you want to see in the magazine or the website? What is your age range, and consider how you relate to health in your generation or not?

This way, we can get feedback from Healthy Living News readers like you as we jump into 2026. Thank you for taking a few minutes to complete the survey and reading more about the purpose of HLN. The survey will be available until the end of 2025.

Have a wonderful holiday, and Happy New Year!
